A Splash Of Color: What Your Color Choice Says About You, Your Logo, & Your Brand

Most people have at least one favorite color, but if you're an artsy person like myself…. Color is your favorite color. But, if I am being completely honest, I tend to lean more to vibrant pastel colors.

You know, like the eggs we dye for Easter Egg Hunts? Or Our favorite Easter colored candy Peeps 🐣...yea those colors. If that still doesn't paint a picture in your head think of those tasty macaroons that you find on pinterest or in your favorite French bakery that draws us in not because its food, but because of the pretty intricate colors.

Whether we think about it or not, we unconsciously pick colors everyday for any and everything. Consider the random thoughts that cross your mind at various points of the day. What color purse matches this outfit? What color car do I want? What color case do I want for my iPhone?

Believe it or not, color is embedded into the psychological aspect of our lives, such as sparking emotions or feelings. Think about it, when you see the color green, what do you usually associate it with? Cha-Chaing! You guessed it…... MONEY (insert Cardi B Song). Now don't get me wrong, money isn't everything. Green can also be associated with nature and eco-friendly initiatives. 😊🌳🌳

So...at this point you're probably wondering How does color affect my moods?  Take a warm color like yellow. If we were to walk in a room that was painted yellow, naturally we would project a happy, welcoming, vibrant, andupbeat attitude. Not the energetic type? That’s perfectly fine, maybe you're the opposite, and you tend to lean towards the calm, cool, and collected colors like blue.

If you feel like you don’t fit into the categories mentioned above, don’t worry. I haven’t forgotten about you! I know some of you may think Hey?! What if I don't like color at all?? That’s fine, if you're like a couple of my best friends you might be more of a neutral person. You may think, does this mean I’m borderline gothic or emo? Absolutely not! People that relate to neutral colors can be reserved, or they can be BOLD, sophisticated, or elegant.

The color you chose can say a lot about your logo and brand. Color can be a nonverbal way to communicate with someone. If you’re panicking, or wondering if you chose the right color for your brand or logo...Don’t!! This is the part where I come in to help you! Below is a brief crash course on color psychology that will help you out when it comes to picking colors for your brand. EGG-CITING, right (see what I did there, cheesy I know) 🤗.

From reading the chart, what statement do you want to project about your business? By having a little knowledge about color and the brain, you are one step closer to allowing people to see who you truly are through your brand! No shade against Black and White logos (pun intended), but adding a splash of color to your brand can make you stand out from the rest!  So, Add a little PIZAZZ✨  to your brand and bring it to LIFE!

Also Happy Easter Folks!
